Home Systems Protection Plan
Terms version v3-2026-09
What the plan is
The Home Systems Protection Plan is a $360 per year plan on a 12-month agreement covering three trades in one home: plumbing, electrical and one HVAC system. You make one annual payment. The price is plus applicable tax.
Shared benefit limit
The plan contributes up to $1,500 per 12-month plan term. That is one shared benefit across all three trades, so you use it where you need it. Repairs and replacements draw from the same $1,500. The limit applies to what the plan pays after your deductible.
Additional HVAC systems
One HVAC system is included. You may add each additional system for $100 per year. All enrolled systems share the same $1,500 annual limit.
What is covered, and where it stops
Each trade below lists what the plan covers and the point where coverage ends. Anything outside these boundaries is not covered.
Plumbing
Included
- Household water and drain pipes
- Leaks and stoppages
- Valves, faucets, toilets and disposals
- Water heaters
- Well pumps, softeners and filtration equipment
- Private exterior water and drain piping on your property
Where it stops
Coverage stops at the connection to utility-owned lines or the septic tank.
- Septic tanks, treatment equipment and drain fields are excluded.
- Well drilling and casing are excluded.
- Irrigation systems are excluded.
- Pools and spas are excluded.
Electrical
Included
- Homeowner-owned breaker panels and breakers
- Fixed wiring and circuits serving the home
- Switches and outlets
- Hardwired light fixtures
- Ceiling and exhaust fans
Where it stops
Coverage stops at utility equipment and at the appliance.
- Appliance and electronics internals are excluded.
- Utility equipment, meter boxes and service drops are excluded.
- Generators and transfer switches are excluded.
- Solar panels and batteries are excluded.
- EV chargers are excluded.
- Low-voltage, security and data systems are excluded.
HVAC
Included
- Thermostat and controls on the enrolled system
- Motors, capacitors and compressor
- Coils and heating components
- Refrigerant lines and condensate drain
- Refrigerant needed for a covered repair, which shares the benefit
Where it stops
Coverage applies to the components of each enrolled central or ductless system.
- Ductwork, insulation and air balancing are excluded.
- Air-quality accessories are excluded.
- Geothermal ground loops are excluded.
- Fuel tanks are excluded.
- Window and portable units are excluded.
- Systems that are not enrolled are excluded.
Deductible
You pay $100 per covered incident. One deductible covers the return visits that same incident needs, with no additional trip fee for that incident.
24 hour arrival guarantee
We will be at your home within 24 hours of your service request, or the $100 service call is free. If we miss that 24 hour arrival window, your $100 incident deductible is waived for that incident.
Waiting period
Your term starts the day you enroll. Repair benefits start on day 61. The full $1,500 shared limit is available for the rest of that first term once the waiting period ends.
How HVAC units are counted
One unit means one matched indoor and outdoor system with its heating equipment, one packaged system, or one ductless outdoor unit with its connected indoor heads.
Each additional independent system must be identified and enrolled for $100 per year. Added systems share the original $1,500 limit, and each newly added system has its own 60-day waiting period.
Repairs and replacements
The plan covers failures from normal use and wear, including covered leaks and stoppages.
When a necessary replacement is the right fix, it can use the remaining benefit. Standard, builder-grade fixtures are included, subject to the deductible and the remaining benefit. If you choose an upgrade, you pay the difference.
Access versus restoration
Necessary opening or excavation directly required for a covered repair shares the benefit limit.
Closing and restoring the work area is not covered. That includes drywall, paint, tile, floors, concrete, paving and landscaping. Water extraction, drying, mold work, structural repairs and other resulting property damage are also excluded.
Other exclusions
Required permits and modifications directly necessary for a covered repair share the benefit limit.
- Problems known at enrollment, or problems first evident during the waiting period
- Routine maintenance, tune-ups, preventive cleaning and consumables
- Fire, flooding, storm damage, vandalism or misuse
- New installations, remodels and elective capacity or code upgrades
One combined limit
There is one $1,500 maximum in plan-paid benefits per enrolled home per 12-month term, across all three trades and all enrolled HVAC systems. There are no separate caps by trade.
Covered labor, parts, access work and required repair-related costs all use this balance. You pay the deductible, any excluded work, and any amount above the remaining benefit. Unused benefits do not roll over.
How claims work
Contact Pinnacle before arranging covered work. Pinnacle-authorized providers diagnose the problem and explain the plan contribution and your cost before repairs begin.
One $100 deductible applies per covered incident, including the return visits that incident needs and multiple trades working the same incident. Unrelated failures are separate incidents. There is no additional trip fee for the same incident. The deductible is waived if we miss the 24-hour arrival window.
Eligibility and effective dates
Systems must be operating at enrollment. Benefits start on day 61 of your term. Coverage is governed by the plan agreement. Prices are plus applicable tax.
Administered by Pinnacle Home Protection.
Term and cancellation
The agreement runs for 12 months from your enrollment date. You may choose not to renew at the end of the term. Contact us before your term end date and we will close out the plan at term end.
